ROCKWALL, TX (April 27, 2026) Audrey Bailey, a senior at Rockwall-Heath High School, is the daughter of Chris and Kristin Bailey. Audrey’s love for dance began at a young age when she studied classical ballet at Harmonic Motion and later spent a year training at Royalty Dance Academy. After taking a short break from dance, she rediscovered her passion through the Triple Threat program at the Rockwall Acting Studio, where she trained in ballet and jazz until middle school.
Audrey began her drill team journey at Cain Middle School, where she was a member of the sign-up team in seventh and eighth grade. As a freshman at Rockwall-Heath, she took a dance technique class at MPACT Dance Studio while dancing with the JV Starsteppers. She went on to earn a spot as a Rockwall-Heath Highstepper her sophomore year.
Reflecting on her dance experience, Audrey says one of her greatest accomplishments was earning her place on the varsity team. After not making JV initially, she was given the opportunity to serve as a Starstepper trainee, an experience that taught her the value of perseverance and hard work. She is especially grateful to Mrs. Blair for believing in her and encouraging her to give her best in every practice and performance. Audrey also expresses appreciation for Mrs. Clark, whose positivity and leadership helped make her veteran years especially meaningful. Above all, Audrey says she is thankful to the Lord for guiding her journey and for the close-knit team of girls she has grown alongside.
Academically, Audrey ranks in the top three percent of her class and has earned recognition as an AP Scholar with Honors and a Superintendent Scholar. She also received the AP Capstone Certificate and is involved in several organizations, including Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society, the National Charity League, and the Student Worship Team at Crosspoint Community Church.
Outside of dance and school, Audrey enjoys coffee runs with friends, spending time with family, watching movies, reading, writing, listening to music, and playing guitar.
After graduation, Audrey plans to attend Baylor University, where she will major in business and may pursue a minor in creative writing. She looks forward to discovering the path the Lord has in store for her next chapter. Congratulations, Audrey!
