Rockwall, TX (June 17, 2022) – On June 16th, 2022, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Rockwall Police Department conducted a search warrant on a house in the 3800 Block of Pinebluff Lane. The warrant was the result of a months-long investigation into to a tip the department received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding child pornography. Multiple electronic devices were seized for further examination.
As a result of the search, 49 year old Russell Hyland of Rockwall, TX was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography. He was booked into the Rockwall County Detention Center where he is being held on a $25,000 bond. The case remains under investigation by the Rockwall Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
