Austin, TX (February 13, 2025) – Representative Katrina Pierson proudly announces her appointment to the House Public Health Committee and the Homeland Security, Public Safety, and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, along with her assignment to the Public Health Subcommittee for Disease Prevention & Women’s & Children’s Health.
Her role on the Public Health Committee enables her to address issues ranging from medical oversight and mental health services to preventive care. Believing that quality healthcare is essential for a healthy Texas, Pierson’s focus on fiscal responsibility and collaboration will help bring balanced, effective solutions to our state. Drawing on 14 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Pierson brings unparalleled insight and expertise to these challenges.
Serving on the Homeland Security, Public Safety, and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Pierson continues her strong advocacy for community safety and veteran support. As the daughter and granddaughter of Army Veterans—and having firsthand experienced with the first ISIS attack on US soil in Texas—she remains uniquely committed to preparedness, rapid emergency response, and honoring our veterans, further bolstering her proven record of building a stronger, safer community.
