Johnny Myers, lifelong Heath resident, announces candidacy for Heath City Council, Place 2

Heath, TX (March 19, 2025) – Johnny Myers is a 6th generation Rockwall County resident who has spent his life serving our community. Johnny’s Rockwall roots run deep. His father, John Dan Myers, was a Rockwall County Commissioner in the late 1970s until his passing.

When his father passed away at age 15, Johnny was thrust into adulthood, living independently and taking over his father’s construction business while continuing his education. It was then Johnny learned the importance of personal responsibility and accountability. Johnny would eventually serve in various high-level leadership roles as a business leader and franchise owner for a Fortune 500 company. This position enhanced his natural ability for strategic planning, budgeting, product development, and creative problem-solving.

An entrepreneur, with years of private-sector leadership experience and a current business owner of – JRM Services – that fights big insurance companies on behalf of homeowners. He will bring this same fight and tenacity to benefit the residents of Heath and the Heath City Council.

A lifelong and multi-generational resident of the City of Heath, Johnny is running for Heath City Council, Place 2 to preserve the best interests of the City of Heath. Johnny is a conservative Republican who will fight for water infrastructure, roads, thoughtful and calculated growth, as well as funding and resources for the brave men and women of law enforcement. He will dedicate his efforts to protect your hard-earned tax dollars in a fiscally responsible manner.

Johnny met his wife, Karen, on a blind date, and together they have been married for nearly 44 years. They have proudly called Heath home for them and their children, Chelsea and Brianna. Johnny and Karen are members of Eastridge Church of Christ in Rockwall. Johnny and Karen are active members in the community, including the Rockwall Women’s League, local Republican committees, and other charitable organizations. Also, Karen is the current Precinct Chair for 3E.
