Your Money, Your Safety: HomeBank Texas offers free virtual workshop on fraud prevention

ROCKWALL, TX (March 19, 2026)— Fresh off being named the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Award winner for Community Involvement and Impact, HomeBank Texas continues its commitment to protecting and empowering the community.

The locally owned bank, with locations in Rockwall, Seagoville, and Dallas, has partnered with the Texas Bankers Association to present a free virtual financial education workshop designed to help individuals stay scam-free in today’s increasingly complex digital world.

The online session, “Your Money, Your Safety” will provide practical, real-world guidance on identifying and preventing fraud, with topics including artificial intelligence and social engineering tactics, how viruses infiltrate systems and ways to protect against them, common scams targeting consumers, and steps to safeguard personal information and finances. Attendees will also learn what to do if they become a victim of fraud.

The workshop will be led by HomeBank Texas experts Lino Ornano, Senior Vice President and Information Security Officer, and Gina Suniga, Vice President of BSA and Deposit Compliance.

The free event is scheduled for Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. CT and will be presented virtually via Zoom.
