ROCKWALL, TX (May 21, 2026) The Rock Wall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has awarded the DAR Youth Leadership Medal to Cora Guynes, a local fifth grade graduate.
Guynes was selected for the medal because she exemplifies the five core qualities the DAR seeks to encourage: honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism. The DAR Youth Leadership Medal program is designed to recognize and reward students in grades 5-11 who exemplify the core qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism.

The DAR Youth Leadership award is presented to a boy or girl in grades 5-11 (one medal per grade per school or organization per calendar year) who, in the judgment of the school faculty, and/or student body, best exemplifies the qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership and patriotism.


The announcement was made by Kimberly Jackson, Chapter Regent of the Rock Wall Chapter of the NSDAR.
