Rockwall Celebrates Independence Day with Exciting Activities for the Whole Family

ROCKWALL, TX (June 10, 2026)– Rockwall is gearing up to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary of independence with a full day of family-friendly activities on the 4th of July! Join us as we honor this special day with a series of exciting events that promise fun for all ages.

Start your day with pride by attending our patriotic parade at 11 AM. The parade will begin at The Rockwall County Library and conclude at Dobbs Elementary. Be sure to arrive early to secure your spot and enjoy the festive atmosphere! Don’t forget to stop by the Downtown Farmers Market, open from 8am-12pm.

End your night with a bang at Harry Myers Park:

  • Parachute Jumpers: Witness a thrilling display of parachute jumpers descending around 6:45 PM
  • Free Live Music: Get ready to rock out with live music by the Diamond West Band, starting at 7 PM. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, food, and drink to settle in for an evening of great tunes.
  • Food Trucks: Satisfy your cravings with a variety of delicious options from food trucks, available from 5 PM to 9:30 PM.
  • Fireworks Display: As the sun sets, prepare to be dazzled by a spectacular fireworks display at dusk. Remember, personal fireworks are not permitted within city limits, so leave it to the professionals and enjoy the show safely.

Free shuttles will get festival goers from off-site parking locations to Harry Myers Park from 3 PM to 12 AM. There is plenty of room on the shuttles for your chairs and coolers, but please note that BBQ grills are not allowed on the shuttles.

  • The Center (108 E. Washington Street)
  • Wilkerson Sanders Football Stadium (1215 North T L Townsend Dr) ADA Parking
  • Rockwall High School (901 W Yellow Jacket Lane)
