ROCKWALL, Texas (Sept. 22, 2026) — Friends, neighbors, and all whose lives were touched by Rita Flinchum are invited to celebrate her life on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 7 p.m. at The Center at Rockwall City Place, 108 E. Washington St., Rockwall, TX 75087.
Rita devoted her time and heart to helping others. Through her support of CASA, including birthday and Christmas projects, she brought joy to children and families. She advocated for older adults, welcomed newcomers, and offered friendship and encouragement throughout the community.
A beloved member of the Rockwall County Democratic Party, Rita served as a precinct chair, election worker, block walker, and campaign volunteer. She encouraged candidates, supported their families, and helped neighbors become involved in shaping their community.
Her legacy extends beyond the roles she held. It lives in the children she helped, the neighbors she supported, and the friendships she nurtured.
Members of her CASA family, residents of her precinct, fellow volunteers, and friends throughout Rockwall County are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and honor a woman whose generosity made a lasting difference. Everyone whose life she touched is welcome.
In accordance with Rita’s wishes, donations in her memory may be made to Lone Star CASA or the Rockwall County Democratic Party in lieu of flowers.
