September 3, 2012 – The City of Rockwall has scheduled Corporate Crossing (formerly a portion of FM-549) to be reconstructed between State Highway 276 and the Interstate 30 Service Road.
The existing two-lane asphalt section of Corporate Crossing will be reconstructed to a four-lane divided concrete road with curb and gutter and an underground drainage system. The project will also include the addition of left turn lanes to the Corporate Crossing/SH-276 intersection.
The portion of the project from SH-276 to Discovery Blvd. is scheduled to be completed by March 2013, and the entire project should be completed in the Fall of 2013.
Traffic control signs are going up now and construction of asphalt detours should begin after Labor Day.
The project is funded by 2005 Road Bond Funds that were approved by voters.
