Participation in national campaign will generate donations to ‘Share Our Strength’
(Dallas) September 16, 2012 – Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will participate in this week’s national DINE OUT FOR NO KID HUNGRY campaign to raise funds to combat childhood hunger in America. This year’s fundraising drive will run September 16-22.
This is the fourth year Cane’s has supported the initiative, which is organized by Share Our Strength, a national not-for-profit organization that works to ensure that no child in America grows up hungry. The campaign aligns directly with one of Raising Cane’s core areas of community focus: feeding the hungry.
“We are firm believers in the notion that no man or woman, and especially no child, in America should ever have to go to sleep hungry,” said Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s. “That’s why we wholeheartedly support the Share Our Strength organization, and we urge all Caniacs across the DFW Metroplex to head out to their nearest Cane’s and give generously to this important cause.”
This year, Raising Cane’s will invite customers to donate to Share Our Strength in each of its more than 130 locations nationwide during the week of the promotion. Customers may donate any amount, in increments of $1.00, at any participating Cane’s, with or without a purchase.
For every $1.00 a customer donates during the week of September 16-22, Raising Cane’s will give them a “Buy One Box Combo, Get One Box Combo Free” thank-you certificate. The certificates are valid on the customer’s next visit, from September 16-30 only.
“This is one of our most important fundraising initiatives of the year, so we want to make sure we recognize and reward those customers that help feed hungry children across the nation,” said Graves.
