Senior pageant to crown Ms Mature Irving

(Irving) Seven local ladies will compete for the title and crown of Ms. Mature Irving during a special pageant at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 in Carpenter Performance Hall at the Irving Arts Center, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd. The winner will compete in the Ms. Texas Senior Classic Pageant later in the year.

Every autumn the Heritage Senior Center, part of the City of Irving Department of Parks and Recreation, sponsors this pageant for ladies age 60 and older, to create greater awareness of the worth of senior citizens, and to promote a positive image of seniors. Participants are judged in three categories: Personality, Talent, and Evening Wear. The event receives generous community support from city officials, area merchants, and civic groups.
