(ROCKWALL, TX – June 29, 2015) The fourth annual Rockwall News 4th of July Parade will be held Saturday, July 4, beginning at 11 am, from the RISD football stadium/Aquatic Center parking lot to Dobbs Elementary School.
The normally hour-long parade will leave the parking lot, head north on TL Townsend Dr. past the County Jail, turn left and head west one block to S. Clark St. and then proceed under the big shade trees to the end at Dobbs Elementary School.
Co-sponsored by the City of Rockwall, Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, Rod Holland Real Estate and Rockwall Cryo Whole Body Cryotherapy, parade entries are just $50 for businesses and $25 for others to help pay for parade costs.
Regularly featured in the parade is the Sons of the American Revolution color guard, Rockwall County Sheriff’s Posse on horseback, Rockwall High School Orange Wave Marching Band, elected officials, floats from businesses and local organizations, scout troops, youth groups, clowns, animal acts, boats and old time cars.
