(ROCKWALL, TX – October 7, 2015) Rockwall residents ordering Domino’s Pizza yesterday received a cool surprise as the Rockwall Fire department tagged along with the pizza delivery team to provide folks with a free smoke alarm inspection for Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 4-10).
Rockwall Domino’s – located at 2330 Greencrest – and the National Fire Protection Association teamed up with the Rockwall Fire Department to deliver pizza on a fire truck to randomly-selected residents ordering pizza between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Upon delivery the firefighters performed an inspection of all smoke alarms found in the place of residence, as a part of this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign theme “Hear the Beep Where You Sleep: Every Bedroom Needs a Working Smoke Alarm.” If the smoke alarms were shown to be fully functioning, the lucky resident received their entire order free of charge! If the smoke alarms were not working, the firefighters happily replaced the batteries.
A huge thank you to the Rockwall Fire Department for helping to keep our residents safe!
