Rockwall Jacket Babes JV Drill Team wows judges, brings home awards

(ROCKWALL, TX) The Rockwall High School Jacket Babes Junior Varsity Drill Team, under the direction of Brittany Shaver, competed at American Dance/Drill regional competition on Saturday, February 22 at Plano Senior High.

The Jacket Babes and their Officers both received the Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence, Sweepstakes and a Platinum Best Overall award for their amazing routines.

The Jacket Babes received a Judges Awards (a score of 94 or higher) for all four of their routines- Jazz, Contemporary, Pom and Hip Hop. They also won Best in Class in the JV Division as well as 6th Place Overall out of the entire contest.

The Jacket Babes also received a “WOW” award for their Contemporary routine.

The Jacket Babe Officers received a Judges Awards for all three of their routines- Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary. The Officers also won Best in Class in the Officer JV Division as well as 3rd Place Overall out of the entire contest!

In the solo division, Olivia Arce won 1st place in the JV division as well as placing in the top 4 solos out of the entire contest. Brynn Morrison, Marissa Pearson and Arianna Hailey were also solo finalists.

The Jacket Babes will be competing at ADTS Nationals Competition March 27-28.
