FATE, TX – Jan. 13, 2021 – Our city has experienced tremendous growth in the past 3 years. The Mayor and City Council have focused on keeping our roads safe, creating sustainable commercial development, creating rational property taxes, and growing our Fire and Police teams to keep our families safe.
We have also faced unprecedented challenges in 2020. We worked together to manage a global pandemic, find new ways to improve community engagement, and to keep our neighbors safe, while always remembering that we are family.
In 2021 and beyond, it is important we finish the work started by former Mayor Burger, and your city council, and continue to work on your priorities that make Fate a great city to work and live in:
- To create an efficient and effective Public Safety Department to serve our community
- To ensure Fate is a family focused city with parks, green space, and open spaces to enhance our quality of life
- Common sense commercial development that will provide employment opportunities for our citizen
- To develop a network of roads that is safe, secure and will support our continuing growth
- To maintain a laser-like focus on the will of the citizens of Fate, by continuing to hold open forums where we can listen to your viewpoints
It has been an honor and privilege to serve you as Mayor Pro Tem for the past 2 years.
With a humble heart, I am announcing my candidacy for Mayor, for the City of Fate, and I ask for your support and vote.
Yes indeed, our future is bright. May God bless our great city and each of your families. I look forward to chatting with you about our path forward and how we can continue working together for a better future.
In Service,
David Billings
