ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 25, 2021 – Rockwall-Heath Hawk student athletes prevailed through a tough season and achieved strong results in the Texas Swimming and Diving District Championships.
Laci Black and Lucius Yu-Kisselbach were selected as the Athlete of the Meet which is based on power index points for swimming. Lucius is the first swimmer in Rockwall to have been named Athlete of the Meet for three consecutive years! Josey Forrest as the Diver of the Meet.
The following student athletes have qualified in their individual events.
Laci Black- 200 IM and 500 Freestyle (Selected as Girls Swimmer of the Meet)
Kylee Conrad- 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke
Josie Forrest- 1M Diving (Selected as Girl Diver of the Meet)
Josie Gillentine- 100 Freestyle and 100 Breastroke
Cameron Knox- 100 Backstroke
Karly Merriott- 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle
Bailey Morrow- 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly
Grayson Tidwell- 200 IM and 100 Backstroke
Lucius Yu-Kisselbach- 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle (Selected as Boys Swimmer of the Meet)
Girls 200 Medley Relay
Girls 200 Freestyle Relay
Boys 200 Freestyle Relay
Girls 400 Freestyle Relay
Boys 400 Freestyle Relay
Regionals, which will be broadcast through RISD TV, will be Feb. 5 (girls) and Feb. 6 (boys); preliminaries frokm 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and finals from 5 to 9 p.m.
