(Wylie) The Wylie East Athletic Booster Club welcomes WEHS students, families and the entire community to Meet the Raiders Night on Friday, Aug. 19 at Wylie Stadium, 2550 W. FM 544 at Country Club Road.
The Raiders will scrimmage Keller Timber Creek. Freshman will begin play at 4 p.m. JV is next, followed by varsity at about 6.
Meet the Raiders festivities kick off at 7:30 p.m. when the Sapphires drill team, cheerleaders, and spirit team lead the Fight Song. Air Force Junior ROTC members will present the United States flag, followed by the National Anthem. Sports teams and coaches will be introduced, and the award-winning Pride of the East Band will play as the Sapphires drill team presents a special performance. The WEHS cheerleaders will lead a cheer and build school spirit.
There will be vendor booths, food and drinks, jump houses, and Raider merchandise for sale.
