Free agility demos, animal health fair at Pet Palooza

(Plano) Take advantage of low-cost vaccinations, micro-chipping and informative presentations by veterinarians, trainers and groomers at the second annual Plano Pet Palooza, the education and health fair benefiting the Plano Animal Shelter.

There is no charge for admission to this special event, which will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Plano Animal Shelter, 4028 West Plano Parkway.

Gifts will be given with pet adoptions, and fair-goers will enjoy agility demonstrations, photos with Santa, and free giveaways. Pet supply vendors and pet service providers will also be there.

The event is sponsored by Sparky’s Pals, a 501(c)(3) non-profit Texas corporation located in Dallas and dedicated to animal welfare and providing humane education to the public. Sparky’s Pals is not a shelter or rescue group. Their mission is to try stop pet overpopulation before it starts by focusing on education. Unlike trainers who educate  pets (and owners), Sparky’s Pals educate people – hoping to change people’s attitudes and behaviors towards pets, thus lessening the number of pets abandoned on the streets and left at shelters.
