October 27, 2012 – Introducing the 2012-13 Rockwall-Heath High School JV Drill Team, the Starsteppers. The award-winning JV drill team is directed by Anna Blair. RHHS Highsteppers Varsity Drill Team Director, Monica Lyon, serves as the assistant director to the Starsteppers. The combination of both directors experience, vision, and expertise have lead both drill teams to great success.

Anna Blair, who holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University, has been the Starstepper Director now for six years. She credits this year’s team for their enthusiasm and commitment.

“My Starsteppers this year are a wonderful group of hardworking individuals that have bonded so quickly to build a team with a wonderful heart and an admirable dedication to dance and their team-mates,” she said. “I am so proud to have the opportunity to work with each and every one of these young ladies, and I look forward to the amazing year ahead of us.”

The Starsteppers are off to a great start performing at football games, taking part in the Homecoming parade, participating in numerous fundraisers, and practicing hard for what is bound to be an exciting competition season. You can see them next on the field or marching in the Rockwall Christmas Parade. Go Starsteppers Go!!!!
