Rockwall High Athletes of the Month recognized

(ROCKWALL ISD-April 13, 2013) Rockwall High School Jacket Backers Athletic Booster Club congratulates its Athletes of the Month!

LADY JACKET ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Kailea Coles has been selected as the Lady Jacket Athlete of the Month. The 12th grade member of the gymnastics team was nominated by Coach Denise Hedges and chosen by the Jacket Backers board.

Kailea has been a consistent all around placer at all meets this year. During March, she was the all around District Champion and placed 2nd at Regionals.

Kailea is committed to her team and competes on all four events at every meet for the RHS gymnastics team.

“Kailea has dedicated herself to this program for the last four years as well as being involved in many different activities in and out of Rockwall High School. Kailea has contributed to the success of Rockwall gymnastics over the last four years and we will not be the same without her,” said Coach Hedges.

YELLOWJACKET ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Dustin Angiel was selected as the Yellowjacket Athlete of the Month. The 12th grade member of the varsity baseball team was nominated by Coach Jeff Payne and chosen by the Jacket Backers board.

Dustin, a pitcher and shortstop for the Yellowjacket Varsity Baseball Team had a .440 batting average in March and leads the team with a .475 average for the season. Angiel was also the winning pitcher in two tournament games in March. He is the RHS starting shortstop when not pitching.

“Dustin has had a great senior season with the bat and glove. But I hope my younger players have been watching how this senior approaches the game. Nobody will out work or out hustle him. He deserves all the success he is having right now,” said Coach Payne.
