Election 2017: Vote early
(Sept. 27, 2016) Rockwall County Election Administrator Chris Lynch urges residents to vote early in the 2017 presidential race due to expected large crowds.
There are about 57,000 registered voters in the county, Mr. Lynch said, and it is estimated that 45,000 will cast votes in the November election. Half of those will vote early, he said. so, to avoid long lines on Election Day, VOTE EARLY!
“Typically, about 50 percent of citizens vote early,” he said, “so the potential for a huge turnout exists. To avoid long lines on Election Day, vote early!”
The county has purchased additional equipment, including a robust package of paper ballots for this election, he noted

October 24 through Oct. 28 and from Oct. 31 through Nov.2, polls are open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
On Oct. 29 and Oct.31, polls are open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
