K9 officer Czar retires, Fate City Council declares today ‘K9 Public Safety Officer Czar Day’

FATE, TX – Feb. 3, 2021 – The Fate City Council proclaimed today, February 3, 2021, as “K9 Public Safety Officer Czar Day.” Due to his age, Czar retired from the Fate Department of Public Safety on Monday, February 1, 2021.

During his tenure, Czar certified in narcotics detection and evidence recovery through both the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association (NNDDA) and the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA). He was responsible for hundreds of successful countywide arrests, the recovery of numerous pieces of evidence, and the seizure of hundreds of pounds of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

K9 Public Safety Officer Czar became a member of the Fate Department of Public Safety in 2014, and for the past seven years, Czar has given uncompromising dedication to his handlers and the Department as a whole.

We encourage all citizens to thank Czar for his dedicated service to our community and wish him the very best in his well-deserved retirement.
