ROYSE CITY, TX (January 1, 2022) January is School Board Recognition Month and Royse City ISD is celebrating its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students. The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is Forward, Together, which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers and parents on behalf of students.
“The Royse City ISD School Board is an effective team that works to make the best decisions to benefit the students, staff and taxpayers,” explained Superintendent Kevin Worthy. “They tirelessly work and volunteer to represent the community and advocate for Texas Public Schools. I’m grateful for these seven individuals and the partnership that we share in doing what is best for kids.”
Board members serving Royse City ISD are President Scott Muckensturm, Vice President Dr. Brian Zator, Secretary Mike Anderson, Trustee Bobby Summers, Trustee Eric Fort, Trustee Christina Carrion and Trustee Jessica Ratteree.
Under the guidance of Superintendent Worthy and the school board, Royse City ISD has seen tremendous growth in both numbers and opportunities for students. Students now have more pathways for success than ever before after graduation. From complete associate degrees to workforce certifications, students have the opportunity to explore their passions and position themselves for success. The board has shown great commitment to future planning with the creation and completion of two strategic plans and the development of a Master Facility Plan. Successful Bond Referendums in 2018 and 2021 have laid the foundation for continued and managed growth.
