ROCKWALL, TX (Sept. 12, 2024) – The City of Rockwall, in partnership with First H.E.L.P., is proud to announce the unveiling of Heroes Memorial Park on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This new memorial is dedicated to honoring first responders and veterans who have died by suicide, ensuring they are remembered for how they lived and the sacrifices they made in service to others.

The unveiling ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Heroes Memorial Park, located at 1094 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087. The event will include a formal dedication and special remarks from community leaders and First H.E.L.P., a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health in public service careers.

This memorial park serves as a physical testament to the importance of mental health awareness and provides a space for reflection and remembrance for families, friends, and colleagues affected by these tragic losses.
