(Richardson) Dylan (Deuce #2, center) Redig exits the ice after the Bantam Dallas Oilers, coached by Dan Hurtubise, grabs an 8-0 victory over the Oklahoma Oil Kings during the Oilers’ second game of the Texas Shootout Tournament at the Ice Training Center in Richardson Sunday.

The Bantam Oilers also won their first game of this Labor Day weekend tournament with an 8-5 win over the Grapevine Wolves. The Dallas Stars Selects stopped the Bantam Oilers short of a three-game winning streak by dominating the Oilers’ third game of the series, 5-2.

With two wins and one loss, the Bantam Oilers face the San Antonio Jr Rampage today at 1:30.

Thanks to team manager Raymond Smith for providing the travel trailer, breakfast, lunch and beverages in the ITC parking lot, where team members gathered before and after games.  The cooler temperatures are just what hockey families were hoping for to make this Texas Shootout extra n-ICE.
